Citizen Developers vs IT? How Governance creates win-win status in organization.
One is a Citizen Developer. Second works for IT person. Are they always in opposition? Is Citizen Developers always doing Shadow IT in the eyes of your IT? Are IT always making the things harder?
Governance which is focusing on two perspectives is the answer. Governance shouldn’t be only the weapon used by the IT to restrain Citizen Developers.

Thanks to implementation, the organization creates cooperation process between Citizen Developers and IT. IT gets strong allies in the form of the Citizen Developers. Citizen Developers are getting support and are not left alone. The whole ecosystem can grow and creates Business Value in the controlled but still agile and rapid way.

Provisioning solution – use case
In this session, I will demonstrate how with Power Apps, Power Automate and MsGraph (potential bonus also Power Bi but that depends on the time) create a solution which is helping with the governance of the Microsoft 365 tenant. As a lot of organizations is having difficulties with the challenge of too much Teams/Groups created… If you need to type Demo123 because there are so many test entities, it is a signal that something need change! With Power Platform you can help your Users, Admins to control the whole process of sites, groups, team’s creation. That is also providing transparency and allowing to analyze the trends of the needs in your environment.
Key elements of what will be demonstrated during the session:
- Power Apps multilingual form – how to create it and add new languages in a good for performance way (keeping the Apps below 500 control limit in easy way)
- Power Automate – Try Catch patterns so programming thinking in low-code solutions, expressions, Azure Vault (keep secret still secret!), Ms Graph calls, Site design, Site scripts
- Ms Graph how to eliminate redundant calls and keep info secure
- Power Bi data monitoring and analyzes
All in one session based on the real production use case.
